Information You Send
Entries made in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, are sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Lomita Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those search entries on its own servers. A message sent to the contact address contains the information you choose to include and is used to answer that message.
Routine Technical Logs
The host may record standard technical details, including an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and time stamps. Those details are reviewed in aggregate for site reliability and readership patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when they are enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical data helps operate the pages, diagnose failures, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. Visitor lists are not sold, and the site does not build individual user profiles from these routine logs.
Outside Portals and Links
Pages point to Los Angeles County and California portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored third-party search tools. Each outside service sets its own privacy rules. Those policies control information submitted after a reader leaves Lomita Residents Directory.
Who May Process It
Hosting and technical service providers may process ordinary server logs while supporting the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Disclosure also occurs when valid legal process requires it; it is not made for unrelated purposes.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and technical logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above. Because there are no accounts, this service does not maintain a site password or personal profile for a reader.
People Under 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information, use the Contact page so the material can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.
California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., provides covered consumers rights that can include access, correction, deletion, opting out of sale or sharing, limits on sensitive-information use, and nondiscrimination. California's DELETE Act, Civil Code §1798.99.80 et seq., also created the DROP broker-deletion process, which is separate from this reference site. Because Lomita Residents Directory keeps very little, a request usually concerns a contact message or technical log. Use the Contact page to ask.
The California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000-7931.000, governs records held by state, county, and city custodians, not by this private service. A request to remove a deed, assessor entry, court file, voter record, or vital record must go to the office that maintains it and may be limited by another law.
